I love toys! I tend to buy a lot of them even if I don’t need them. Sometimes they are horrible purchases that I use for 2 minutes and decide are worthless for what I need. One such instance was a $20 pair of goggles made by Aqua Sphere. I have them sitting here on my desk, they are the Seal XP model. Without taking up too much time on them I’ll offer this. They are by FAR the most comfortable goggles I have ever put on! But, they worse than useless if you attempt to use them for lap swimming. They catch so much water when you turn your head that it actually makes it hard to get a clean breath. But! if you’re looking for an incredibly comfortable, completely leak proof, along with good clear vision without going for those enormous scuba goggles, then I highly suggest them. But if you’re looking for goggles for lap swimming, training, or anything of that nature… keep on looking.

It’s about 2am, I just got home from the gym at about 1:30. With the schedule I’ve been maintaining I haven’t had that much of a social life. Between my primary job, working on a startup company of my own, and training… sometimes I wonder how I have time to even eat of sleep. Well, actually I’ve combined working and eating, so that’s how I manage that. Sleep on the other hand…. I fit that in on the days where I only do 2 of the 3 primary time consumers in my life.

That little cold I had just lingered for the longest time. That’s the worst part about the holiday season for me. Every year, because of those stupid evergreen christmas trees, it interferes with my ability to use my nose. Luckily it’s all gone now. I definitely fell behind on some training since it effect the effort and frequency I could work out. But I’m back to swimming and working hard with my trainer. Last week my trainer definitely compensated for me telling her my muscles didn’t get enough work, and she definitely kept it up this week. Last week it took two full days to recover. This week, we’ll see what happens. I definitely was pushing hard.

After being sick again for about 3+ weeks, I’m back at the gym again. Over the past couple weeks, I haven’t been sick enough to need the hospital, just your everyday cold, but it lasted a really long time. Now that I’m back at it, I’ve noticed I’ve lost a lot of what I had established. The good thing is that it should come back fairly quickly. I’ve been back to swimming and working out since about wednesday of last week. So not quite a full week yet, but it’s going well. I still don’t feel 100%, but 85% seems to be good enough for me to press forward.
